Flybox Omnia Series Avionics

Flybox Omnia ASI-OAT (57 mm & 80 mm)

The Flybox Omnia ASI-OAT is a high-accuracy digital airspeed indicator and atmospheric computer engineered for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft. Combining Indicated Airspeed (IAS), calculated True Airspeed (TAS), and Outside Air Temperature (OAT) on a high-visibility colour graphic display, it delivers immediate airspeed situational awareness with customisable V-speed range arcs. Available in standard 57 mm (2-1/4″) and 80 mm (3-1/8″) round panel cutouts.

Form Factors 57 mm & 80 mm Standard
Speed Parameters IAS & Computed TAS
Supply Voltage 10 V – 30 V DC (~1.5 W)
Pneumatics Pitot & Static Ports

Choosing Your Instrument Size

Select the standard round aviation cutout diameter that matches your panel arrangement:

Variant 01

Omnia ASI-OAT 57 mm (2-1/4″)

Tailored for tight instrument layouts, tandem cockpits, glider panels, or secondary co-pilot stations. Delivers complete graphical airspeed dials, TAS calculations, and atmospheric readouts in a compact 57 mm footprint.

Variant 02

Omnia ASI-OAT 80 mm (3-1/8″)

The direct drop-in replacement for traditional 3-1/8″ mechanical airspeed dials. Features an expanded circular scale, larger high-contrast digital fonts, and enhanced peripheral readability for primary pilot flight scans.

Operational Capabilities & Airspeed Safety

Complete airspeed and ambient environmental tracking in a single glass face:

01

True Airspeed Computation

By combining pitot-static dynamic pressure with live Outside Air Temperature (OAT) from the external probe, the internal flight computer continuously calculates and displays accurate True Airspeed (TAS).

02

Custom V-Speed Markings

Easily program your aircraft's precise operating envelopes: White arc (Vfe), Green arc (normal flight), Yellow caution band (Vno to Vne), and Red limit line, matching your Pilot Operating Handbook (POH).

03

Aural & Visual Over-Speed Alarms

Equipped with an audio line-out for clear spoken voice alerts directly into your headset intercom when approaching Vne, paired with two open-collector outputs to drive external cockpit warning lights.

04

Automatic Peak Flight Logging

Includes internal non-volatile memory that logs maximum indicated airspeed and flight hours per trip, allowing convenient post-flight inspection and accurate airframe maintenance record-keeping.

Technical Specifications

Panel Cutout Standards Standard 57 mm (2-1/4″) or 80 mm (3-1/8″) round aviation hole
Operating Voltage Range 10 V – 30 V DC (Typical current draw ~120 mA @ 12 V / ~1.5 W)
Airspeed Measuring Range Configurable full scale up to 450 km/h, 240 knots, or 280 mph
Pneumatic Interfaces 2x Rear pneumatic ports: Pitot (Dynamic) & Static (Ambient)
OAT Measurement Range -40°C to +80°C (-40°F to +176°F) via external probe
Display Characteristics Sunlight-readable graphic colour TFT LCD with adjustable dimming
Aural Warning System Integrated audio line-out for connection to aircraft intercom system
External Alarm Outputs 2x Programmable NPN open-collector outputs (max 500 mA each)
Bus Communication CAN-bus 2.0B interface for Flybox network telemetry integration
Operating Temperature Range -20°C to +70°C (non-condensing humidity)
Installation Advisory: Ensure the Pitot and Static lines are plumbed with secure, airtight hose fittings and inspected for leaks prior to flight testing. Mount the external OAT probe in an area protected from direct engine exhaust heat and direct solar radiation (such as under the wing or beneath the forward fuselage) to ensure accurate True Airspeed air density calculations.
