Flybox Omnia Fuel Computer (57 mm & 80 mm)
The Flybox Omnia Fuel Computer (Fuel Comp) is an advanced fuel management instrument and pressure monitor engineered for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft. Supporting both single carburettor feeds and dual-transducer differential return setups for fuel-injected engines, it tracks instantaneous consumption, remaining fuel, endurance, and fuel line pressure. When paired with GPS via RS232, it provides live flight range and fuel reserves at destination. Available in standard 57 mm (2-1/4″) and 80 mm (3-1/8″) round panel cutouts.
Choosing Your Instrument Size
Select the standard round aviation cutout diameter tailored to your cockpit panel arrangement:
Omnia57 Fuel Comp (57 mm / 2-1/4″)
The compact choice for space-constrained panels, centre pedestals, or secondary consoles. Features a 68.5 mm × 62.0 mm outer bezel, weighing only 140 g with a low 60 mA power draw. Fits standard 57 mm cutouts (57.5 mm recommended) with up to 10 mm internal screw depth.
Omnia80 Fuel Comp (80 mm / 3-1/8″)
The direct drop-in replacement for traditional 3-1/8″ round mechanical panel instruments. Features an 84.0 mm × 84.0 mm square bezel and expanded 3.5″ display area for high-focus scanning. Fits standard 80 mm cutouts (80.5 mm recommended) using M4×6mm screws (maximum 3.5 mm internal screw thread depth).
Operational Capabilities & Fuel Computer Features
Comprehensive fuel computation and system protection engineered for total cross-country peace of mind:
Differential Fuel Flow Analysis
Engineered with two discrete flow transducer inputs. In fuel-injected installations with recirculating fuel systems, the unit subtracts the return flow from the delivery flow to calculate true, accurate engine burn.
Live GPS Range & Reserve
Connects directly to an external GPS via RS232. Using real-time groundspeed and active waypoint distance, it continuously calculates theoretical flight range (km or NM) and projected fuel reserve at your destination.
Continuous Fuel Pressure Monitor
Features a dedicated 0–5 V fuel pressure input displayed as a colour-coded arc and digital readout (Bar or PSI) across all computer screens, with programmable low/high thresholds and alarm delays.
Tank Switch & Reserve Alarms
Includes a programmable Balance Alarm that displays "TANK SWITCH" each time a specific volume of fuel is consumed to keep wing tanks equalised, alongside minimum endurance and remaining fuel reserve alerts.
