Flybox Omnia Series Avionics

Flybox Omnia MAP (57 mm & 80 mm)

The Flybox Omnia MAP is a precision digital manifold absolute pressure indicator engineered for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft. Designed for naturally aspirated, turbocharged, and supercharged engines, it delivers solid-state pressure monitoring across a 0 to 60 inHg range on a high-visibility colour graphic screen with customisable green, yellow, and red operational arcs. Available in standard 57 mm (2-1/4″) and 80 mm (3-1/8″) round panel cutouts.

Form Factors 57 mm & 80 mm Cutout
Pressure Span 0 – 60 inHg MAP
Pneumatic Port 6 mm Brass Barb
Supply Voltage 10 V – 30 V DC (~1.5 W)

Choosing Your Instrument Size

Select the standard round aviation cutout diameter suited to your cockpit panel arrangement:

Variant 01

Omnia57 MAP (57 mm / 2-1/4″)

The compact choice for space-constrained panels, centre pedestals, or secondary consoles. Features a 68.5 mm × 62.0 mm outer bezel, weighing only 140 g with a low 60 mA power draw. Fits standard 57 mm cutouts (57.5 mm recommended) with up to 10 mm internal screw depth.

Variant 02

Omnia80 MAP (80 mm / 3-1/8″)

The direct drop-in replacement for traditional 3-1/8″ round mechanical manifold pressure gauges. Features an 84.0 mm × 84.0 mm square bezel and expanded 3.5″ display area for high-focus scanning. Fits standard 80 mm cutouts (80.5 mm recommended) using M4×6mm screws (maximum 3.5 mm internal screw thread depth).

Operational Capabilities & Engine Safety

Precision manifold pressure tracking engineered for optimal engine management:

01

Solid-State Digital Core

Internal solid-state pressure transducer eliminates the sticking needles, mechanical gear wear, and vibration lag common to legacy mechanical aneroid capsule gauges, delivering instantaneous and stable readings up to 60 inHg.

02

Custom Operational Arcs

Configure continuous green, cautionary yellow, and maximum red limit bands directly via the rotary encoder, perfectly tailoring the visual gauge face to your specific engine manufacturer's operating envelope.

03

Engine Operating Presets

Includes integrated setup profiles for Rotax 912, 914, 912iS, 915iS, Lycoming, and Continental powerplants, along with an adjustable digital filter to eliminate manifold pressure pulsation without lagging throttle response.

04

Alarm Outputs & CAN-Bus

Features an NPN open-collector output for external warning lights or intercom audio tones, paired with dual CAN-bus interfaces for cluster networking with other Omnia instruments.

Technical Specifications

Panel Cutout Compatibility Standard 57 mm (2-1/4″) or 80 mm (3-1/8″) round aviation hole
Display Characteristics High-brightness (1,000 nits) sunlight-readable 320×240 colour graphic TFT LCD
Operating Voltage Range 10 V – 30 V DC (Protected against electrical bus transients)
Supply Current Draw 60 mA (Omnia57) • 135 mA (Omnia80) @ 12 V DC
Pneumatic Interface Rear 6.0 mm brass barb (5.0 mm ID) for intake manifold hose plumbing
Pressure Measuring Range 0 to 60 inHg continuous (Manifold Absolute Pressure)
Alarm Annunciation NPN open-collector (max 300 mA, active low) for buzzer, lamp, or intercom audio adapter
Sensor Power Output Auxiliary 5 V DC (350 mA) short-circuit protected output
Digital Communication 2x CAN-bus ports (Molex Micro-Fit) + USB 2.0 port for firmware & datalogging
Housing & Environmental CNC-milled solid aluminium alloy • -20°C to +70°C operating temperature
Installation & Setup Advisory: Ensure the intake manifold rubber line is secured to the 6 mm brass fitting with a suitable hose clamp to maintain an airtight seal under both vacuum and boost conditions. Before first flight, select your engine type, configure the gauge threshold limits, and verify readings against ambient barometric pressure with the engine stopped. On Omnia80 units, ensure the mounting screws do not exceed 3.5 mm thread depth inside the chassis to avoid damaging the internal electronics.
