AvioLights Long Slim Low-Profile Wingtip Nav & Strobe System

The AvioLights Long Slim is a matched pair of aerodynamic wingtip lamps combining 110° navigation lights (red port, green starboard) with a high-intensity 8,000-lumen synchronised white strobe in a 22 mm ultra-slim casing. Designed for Ultralights, Microlights, Kitplanes, and Gyrocopters, it features an integrated internal strobe controller in each module—completely eliminating external driver boxes and heavy high-voltage looms.

Profile Height 22 mm Low-Drag
Total Weight 115 g (Both Lamps)
Strobe Power 8,000 lm Combined
Controller Unit Built-in to Lamp

Engineering & Operational Features

Advanced solid-state illumination designed for performance and simple installation:

01

No External Controller Box

Every lamp houses its own solid-state strobe driver circuitry. Mounts directly to wingtips without finding cabin space for remote strobe boxes or routing heavy, noise-generating high-voltage lines.

02

Monolith Epoxy Casting

Cast as a solid, UV-resistant epoxy block with no hollow air pockets, O-rings, or separate lenses. Completely impervious to water immersion, engine vibration, temperature shock, and dust.

03

Synchronised Strobe Sequence

Connecting the white synchronisation lead between the left and right modules ensures both strobes fire simultaneously at 100 flashes per minute for maximum visual anti-collision conspicuity.

04

Ultra-Low Power Demand

Navigation mode consumes only 0.4 A (4.5 W) across both lamps combined. Minimises electrical load on lightweight aircraft alternators while maintaining crisp 500-lumen sector lighting.

Wiring & Lead Color Code

Each module comes pre-wired with 4 colour-coded leads requiring standard 0.5 mm² (20–22 AWG) aircraft wiring:

  • Red Wire (+ACL / Strobe): Connects to your cockpit Strobe switch via a 5 A fuse.
  • Orange Wire (+POS / Navigation): Connects to your Navigation Light switch via a 0.5 A fuse.
  • Black Wire (GRD / Ground): Connects to the aircraft main grounding bus.
  • White Wire (SYNCHRO): Interconnects directly between port and starboard lamps for simultaneous strobe firing.
