Flagship 80 mm Solid-State Glass Cockpit

IFD-NET EVO EFIS BASE (80 mm)

Designed specifically for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft, the IFD-NET EVO EFIS BASE delivers complete Primary Flight Display telemetry inside a standard 80 mm (3⅛″) panel hole. Powered by internal solid-state AHRS sensors, embedded pneumatic pressure transducers, and an ultra-bright display reaching up to 1,200 cd/m², it provides rock-solid attitude, speed, altitude, and coordination data in direct sunlight with low power consumption.

Panel Cutout Standard 80 mm (3⅛″)
Cockpit Interface Dual Concentric Knob
Screen Brightness Up to 1,200 cd/m²
Input Voltage 10 V – 28 V DC
Power Draw 3.5 W (300 mA @ 12V)

Primary Flight Display Architecture

A complete avionics suite presented on an ultra-responsive, high-resolution flight screen:

01

Attitude & Artificial Horizon

Fast-refresh attitude indicator with pitch rungs every 5° and roll bank angle indices at 10°, 20°, 30°, 45°, and 60°. Includes three selectable filter damping rates (FST, MED, SLO) to eliminate turbulence image jitter.

02

Airspeed Tape & V-Speeds

Continuous drum airspeed indicator with trend vector. User-configurable colour bands for Vs0, Vs1, Vfe, Vno, and Vne, plus dedicated on-screen labels for critical V-speeds: Vx, Vy, Vr, Ve, Va, and Vg.

03

Altitude & Dual Baro Setting

Drum-counter altimeter with altitude trend vector and automatic Flight Level (FLxxx) transition above 10,000 ft. Outer knob adjusts whole pressure values; inner knob fine-tunes decimal values (hPa or inHg).

04

Direction, Coordination & G-Load

Overhead heading tape (Magnetic Heading, True Heading, or GPS Track), digital slip ball with adjustable mass damping, turn rate trend bar (standard 3°/sec indicator), live G-meter with peak memory, and wind vector estimation.

Selectable Screen Density Modes

Configure your cockpit scan directly from the setup menu to match your flight profile:

Layout 01

Full PFD (FUL)

Complete glass cockpit scan. Displays artificial horizon, indicated airspeed tape, barometric altitude, GPS altitude, vertical speed, turn coordinator, slip ball, reference pressure, and live G-meter.

Layout 02

Clear Mode (CLR)

De-clutters secondary telemetry during busy terminal or circuit operations by hiding the G-meter, turn coordinator bar, ground speed, and vertical speed for a cleaner, high-focus scan.

Layout 03

Attitude Backup (AH)

A pure artificial horizon format presenting only the attitude bank indicator, compass heading, and the coordination slip ball—ideal as an uncluttered emergency backup instrument.

Integrated Sensors & Calibration

  • Zero External Modules: Internal AHRS gyros, accelerometers, 3-axis magnetometer, and baro sensors.
  • Pressure Offsets: Onboard IAS TRIM and ALT TRIM allow fine-tuning down to 0.1 mbar directly on the panel.
  • AOA-Ready Inlets: Equipped with a third 1/8″ NPT port ready for differential-pressure Angle of Attack sensors.

Ergonomics & 80 mm Panel Fit

  • Dual Concentric Dial: Large crown for coarse adjustments; inner crown for fine precision tuning.
  • Standard 80 mm Cutout: Direct installation into 3⅛″ panel holes with three included 4MA screws.
  • Memory Expansion: Built-in SD/MMC card slot for quick application firmware and system updates.

Technical Specifications

Panel Cutout Size Standard 80 mm (3⅛″ aeronautical cutout)
Dimensions (W × H × D) 85.4 mm × 89.0 mm × 67.5 mm (chassis depth 67.38 mm)
Cockpit Controls Dual concentric rotary knobs with integrated push-switch
Display Brightness Sunlight-readable colour screen up to 1,200 cd/m² (special order up to 2,000 cd/m²)
Operating Voltage Range 10 V – 28 V DC (max 0.8 A, transient protected; 2A breaker recommended)
Power Consumption Down to 3.5 W (approx. 300 mA @ 12 V DC)
Operating Temperature Range -10°C to +70°C (up to 90% RH non-condensing)
Pneumatic Connections 3× 1/8″ NPT female brass ports (Pitot, Static, and Angle of Attack/AOA)
GPS Antenna Connection SMA female connector (supports active or passive GPS antennas)
Electrical Interface Standard 9-pin Sub-D female connector (power, serial bus, OAT sensor)
Memory Slot Rear SD/MMC slot for firmware and configuration updates
Configurable Measurement Units Altitude (m / ft), Speed (kts / km/h / mph), VSI (m/s or ft/min), Pressure (hPa / inHg)
Included Accessories 3× 4MA × 10 mm black panel screws
Panel Installation Note: When mounting the 80 mm EVO unit into a standard 3⅛″ instrument panel hole, enlarge the lower-right screw hole to 7.5 mm to allow clearance for the encoder shaft. Remove the concentric knobs with a flat screwdriver and 6 mm socket, insert the unit into the panel, and refit the knobs with approximately 1 mm clearance from the panel surface. Connect Pitot, Static, and AOA ports using hose adapters with rubber O-rings, and tighten by hand to protect internal silicone lines.
